Welcome To Seirra's Angels

May this prayer be for all
for those who do not know how to pray
for those who know but won't pray
for those who cannot pray due to
poverty
conflict
disease
May this prayer bring peace to all
to those for whom war is a way of life
to those for whom peace is still a dream
to those whose personal war is greater than that between kingdoms
May this prayer bring health to all
to those too young to know they are praying
to those too old to remember
to those who would pray if they only had time
May this prayer bring love to all
to those who have lost faith in love
to those still longing to find love
to those who cannot see love in the darkest of places
May this peace
this health
this love
this light
May this prayer be
for all.
(c) Rev. Pamela Bloom
May 24, 1996

The little arms that slowly, slowly loosed
To kiss.--Such arms---such hands I never knew.
Fain would I be of service--say some thing,
sit weeping,---aye,
Let me, who have not any child to die,
Weep with you for the little one whose love
I have known nothing of.
Their pressure round your neck;the hands
you used
May I not weep with you?
Between the tears, that would be
comforting,--
But ah! so sadder than yourselves am I,
Who have no child to die.

Mix the children and the dogs well together
and put them in the field, constantly stirring.
Pour the brook over the pebbles;
Sprinkle the field with flowers;
Spread over all a deep blue sky
and bake in the hot sun.
When brown, set away to cool-
in a bathtub.

At Age 4
For Mothers who are poor, The wistful eyes of children Are daggers to endure.
Though shops are crammed with playthings
Enough for everyone,
My purse is full of money
But I cannot buy a toy;

So Clear I see,now it is done, That I have wasted half my day, And left my work but just begun;
So clear I see that things I thought
Were right or harmless were a sin;
So clear I see that I have hurt
The souls I might have helped to save;
